We try to cover all
areas of poetry. Although we try to be upbeat on most of our pages, I feel
that we now have a place to go to help heal our emotions of grief, sorrow,
and sadness.
We are all so fortunate to have Jill Lemming share with us a different
side of her poetry. I am so amazed at her way with words and feeling.
We also have Leona I. Miller that is also extremely talented and we have
displayed several of her poems on our different pages.
Please BOOKMARK this page and also visit our other poem pages on this web
site. Let us know what you think about the various poems that are on
our pages.
We Share Your Sorrow
Friends are with you in your Sorrow,
To listen, pray, and stand-by;
Wishing you a brighter Tomorrow,
Some day we'll understand all reasons "why".
God has a reason or purpose for you,
It is all in our Master's Plan;
He will care for you all of life through,
As He leads with His Loving Hand.
You may not know nor understand,
Trust in God and rest assured in peace;
Your Loved One is in a Better Land,
Where Joy and Peace shall never cease.
Grieve when you must; Jesus wept, too,
Tears relieve pain within the heart;
It will not always be, as now, for you,
In Heaven, you shall never again part.
With tears in your eyes, you said "good-bye"
As God called your Loved One away;
Joy will come, when you meet on High,
To live there forever in Eternal Day.

In Your Time Of Sorrow
Your Loved One has passed through the Gate,
To be with Jesus in Heaven above;
Now into a realm surrounded by flowers,
Where all is Joy, Peace and Love.
In this garden where flowers never fade,
The beauty out-shines the brightest star;
Weep when you must, but do remember,
God is with you wherever you are.
God loves you and felt your deep pain,
When He softly called your dear one away;
He will never leave nor forsake you,
Lean on Him and don't forget to pray.
When God reached down His Loving Hand,
It was not easy for you to say "good-bye"
He will gently dry each fallen tear,
Some day you will understand "why".
We pray God will Comfort you in your loss,
We think of you in this time of sorrow;
Family and Friends wait to help you,
Trusting for a new and brighter Tomorrow.

I KNOW WHERE SHE IS
"I hear you've lost your little daughter,"
Said the traveler to his friend,
"And I know your poor heart's saddened,
Because you can't see her again;
If I just had some words of comfort
That my caring heart could share with you;
But your loss is such a crushing blow,
I just don't know what to say or do."
But the girl's dad replied, "Dear comrade,"
You are, oh, so very wrong,
For I haven't lost my little loved one
Though from this earth she's gone!
For I know exactly where she's at,
And I'll be with her again someday.
She's up in heaven with her Saviour
Where little children run and play.
"Friend, if you don't know the Saviour
In the pardon of all your sin,
Why, you need to recognize your need,
And from all your wrongs repent;
Then ask the dear Lord to save you,
And commit your life to Him today;
Then you'll know my daughter isn't lost
She lives and waits in a better place!"

SWEET HEAVENLY CHILD
Tiny baby, in my heart,
I ache to hold you near...
before I even knew you,
I felt your presence here.
Inside my womb I kept you,
ever peaceful from the storm...
I knew that you were always safe
and I knew that you were warm.
I never thought I'd lose you
before I saw your face...
but I know that you are happy
and living in a better place.
God must have spared my baby
from some unknown tragedy...
I know He'd never be unkind
or bring hurt and pain to me.
The days ahead will try me
as I come to terms with grief...
but through it all, there's comfort,
and God is my relief.
He'll hold me in His arms awhile
and shelter me with care...
time will take away the pain,
but the love will still be there.

LETTING GO
How do you say good-bye
to one so precious in your life,
so young and full of promise,
a joy, both day and night?
Many are the memories,
and each one shows the love
you felt for this most cherished one
who now has gone above.
God has a reason every time
He takes His children home;
it takes a lot of love inside
to let Him have His own.
Time and faith will dull the pain
you feel now as you part.
Rest assured God knows your grief;
His love will heal your heart.
May God keep you safe and comfort you
throughout this trying time.
And let your friends provide support
that alone you might not find.

THE EMPTY WOMB
I carried you so lovingly,
within my gentle womb...
and little did I realize,
your life would end too soon.
I never got the chance to say
"I love you, little one"...
before I held you in my arms,
your life on earth was done.
The grief is indescribable,
to lose a child this way...
all the many hopes and dreams,
just vanished on that day.
I know I'll see the sun shine bright
upon my baby's face...
when I finally get to heaven,
all my pain will be erased.
We'll soar the skies together,
as angels two by two...
we'll have a sweet reunion;
a mother's dream come true.

WE'LL NEVER SAY GOODBYE
Mommy, I need to tell you something,
that I hope will help you see...
I'm not sad in heaven,
because God is here with me.
It was on the day I left you,
that I saw the tears you cried,
but please don't worry 'bout me;
God keeps me by His side.
I'll save a place here for you,
in heaven next to me...
where we can be together,
the way you wanted us to be.
For now, please know I love you,
and dry those tears you cry...
I'll wait for you in heaven,
where we will never say goodbye.

FROM A DISTANCE
From a distance one could not see the pain in her eyes.
No one noticed how her bottom lip quivered.
How yesterday she had looked ten years younger.
No, from a distance no one could see her torment.
She had just lost her husband of fifty-four years.
And was torn to pieces and very bewildered.
What would she do now? What could she do?
Fear, doubt, and anxiety overwhelmed her.
Alone, she was alone. Could she go on?
As the tears ran down her face she wiped them away.
Then it happened. A sense of peace enveloped her.
She no longer felt alone.
This seemed impossible and unbelievable.
But, she knew. Yes, she knew He was there.
She was no longer alone. Jesus was there.
He was there wrapping His arms around her.
He was there giving her strength.
This would be hard, no doubt.
But, Jesus would be there for her through it all.
Without Him she would never go on.
With Him she knew; She could go on.
From a distance one could not see the soft smile.
That came across the grief stricken face.
No. No one noticed the straightening of her shoulders.
Or how His peace seemed to fill her entire being.
How no matter what the world would throw at her,
God was able to take care of her.
That He loved her and would not abandon her.
He loved her and she held on to this tightly.
From a distance one could not see this peace.
One could not see the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet, she felt this peace and she saw Him.
He was there with her and she would make it.

(Hebrews 13:5) "Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you."
A LOST CHILD, A MOTHER'S PRAYER
Lord, the child you formed within my womb,
was taken suddenly from me...
and all that's left is emptiness
and questions running free.
I would've been a good mother,
I would've loved this child so much...
I would have given all I have
for his precious tender touch.
I pray for strength and wisdom,
as I face these trying days...
Lord, help me understand the truth,
and trust in all Your ways.
I may not know the reason
my child is not with me...
but I know He's safe in heaven,
with You, for eternity.
Please tell my child I love him,
and I'll see him in the sky...
I'll hold him close forever,
and sing him lullabyes.
No more tears or hardship,
no more pain to bear...
face to face I'll see him;
just tell him I'll be there.

GOD'S CHILD
The hugs will have to wait awhile,
the smiles are put on hold...
until I get to heaven,
the story goes untold.
This child was never meant to be,
nor intended for this earth...
God chose to take her as His own,
before He gave her birth.
And the pain of never knowing,
all the milestones she would face...
has left an empty hole inside
that nothing can replace.
Take care of her, please Father,
and hold her close for me...
the empty arms I have today,
will be full in eternity.
I'll hold her in my heart for now,
until my time has come...
to run to her with open arms,
when my earthly race is won.
